In-school Programming
How it works
Celebrate the Beat (CTB) unites schools and communities through the transformative power of the arts. Through dance, our students build confidence, a sense of belonging, and a deep connection to themselves and others. By meeting students where they are, we create a safe, inclusive space where they can experience the joy, freedom, and empowerment that dance provides.
We believe every child deserves access to high-quality arts education. To ensure our program is inclusive and accessible, CTB classes are taught during the school day and offered to every student in the selected grade level(s). Each program culminates in a vibrant live performance—an uplifting celebration where students proudly showcase what they’ve learned and bring their community together through movement, music, and joy.
If you would like to inquire about bringing CTB to your school, email us today at info@ctbeat.org to set up a meeting.

We work with schools to customize how the program works within the school parameters, teacher and administration goals, student needs, and CTB availability. Participating grades and the length of the program are decided from these needs-based conversations.
Examples of Program Duration Options:
3-weeks with classes every day
7-weeks with classes two days a week
15-weeks with classes one day a week
Grade Options:
K-8th
All CTB classes are taught by two professional teaching artists and are accompanied by a live musician. Live music in every single class is one of the many aspects that separate CTB from other in-school dance programs.
Classroom teachers are an integral part of the CTB program. Through their participation in CTB classes, classroom teachers get the opportunity to see students thrive in a different environment, build stronger relationships with their class, and learn how to incorporate mindfulness and movement into their classroom culture.

A robust program where children take class every day for three weeks, allowing for more in-depth learning in a shorter time.

Every program culminates in a final performance for students to share what they’ve created with the entire community. These highly inclusive performances are a joyful artistic expression of the year’s theme performed with a live band.
