We offer rigorous, standards-based arts education that invigorates Colorado public school children during long and often sedentary school days. Our team of professional dancers and musicians leads children with joy, passion, and expertise. Children work collaboratively, think creatively, and act with empathy. Our approach effectively models assessment-driven arts instruction, addressing the needs of children across a broad spectrum of abilities and life experiences, where every moment is alive with learning, every child is "seen" from day one, and children receive honest, supportive, and immediate feedback.

The 2023-24 curricular theme, The Color of Light, explores the work and lives of Augusta Savage, Jacob Lawrence, Keith Haring, Jean Michel Basquiat, and Niege Borges, artists from the Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights, contemporary social-justice work, and graffiti subculture, whose works demonstrate how art can impact social change.  Art shines a light on the human experience, driving cultural and societal changes and inspiring empathy and collective action, and by integrating the learning of diverse artists with dance's physical and emotional benefits, students experience firsthand the empowering, transformative nature of art.

Educators attend our classes, dance with students, and participate in the final performance. They collaborate with CTB to design curricula related to each year's educational theme. Past themes include Systems of the Body, Poetry, Art, the Environment, and Planetary Systems.  In this way, students dance and experience music related to what they learn in the classroom.
